Today is your birthday
Here's what I want to do.
I want to kiss each of your wiggly toes
before putting on your shoe.
I want to tickle your white little belly
and hear you giggle with glee
then play the belly button game
that you love to play with me.
Then, like every day, I'll do your hair,
combing your soft little curls that twirl.
And dress you up in your new clothes
That are purple, pink and ALL girl.
We will sing the songs you love to sing,
ABC's, Sunbeam, and Pooh Bear
And finish off with Child of God
But our fun won't end there!
I will make your favorite food
Mac and Cheese at your request
With raspberries from the garden
and milk, that's what you like best.
Then I will read you some stories,
each one you will bring to me.
Then we snuggle up and read,
with you sitting on my knee.
I love the joy you bring to life
your smile so wide and sweet.
Your perfect spirit and trusting heart
that makes our little family COMPLETE.
