Her name is Lady. She is a registered Appaloosa. 9 years old and very sweet. She needs some work as far as riding goes but has a great temperment and the girls adore her.
I made sure, before we actually made the purchase, that Paul remembered that he loved me more than Lady.
(funny story and side note. When we were engaged, Paul talked all the time about the things he wanted one day. A Dodge Ram, and a chocolate Lab. I would jokingly ask him, often....
"but you love me more than a Dodge Ram or a chocolate Lab right?"
to which his reply always was....
"Yes."
Whew. What a relief.... Which is why I agreed to marry him, of course.)
Now, my tiny insecurity is back with Lady.
I make sure and remind him that he loves me more than her, or she is OUTTA HERE! He is truly like a kid in the toy section of Wal-Mart. Gleefully happy. And gleeful is not a word I would often refer to when describing my cool, calm and collected hubby.
If anyone wants to come visit her, and meet some other horses you are more than welcome!
Kami is pretty happy too, although she wanted a black horse. Oh well.
Oh, and this is what Abby thinks of our new family member..
