The soccer season is officially over...

Does that mean I can have a somewhat mellow life now. Nope.
Oh well.
Soccer tryouts are next week, but we do get a week of rest. Hailey needs it. She has been working hard. Despite what the stats say on the UYSA.org website, she scored 5 season goals and 11 goals all together including State Cup. Her team made it to the quarter finals in State Cup and were actually ahead at the start of the game with 2 goals scored, one off a corner kick Hailey made, but they lost the lead after the 2nd half started. We aren't sure if the girls ran out of gas, or what but there were some strange decisions made with line-up and defense etc. Needless to say, we are happy to have this tumultuous year of soccer behind us and excited for a new one to begin with new coaches and new things to learn.
Not sure if I ever blogged about switching clubs right before spring season started but it was ugly. Parents were mad at us, our friend, and coach of our team (at the time) basically threw me under the bus in front of all the parents telling them we were leaving....before we had made the decision of course, thus pushing me to make that decision pretty darn quick. As much as I like the guy, he can be a real....well.....you know. I tend to react to quickly at times, but it turned out well in the end.
Anyway, Hailey is a great student. She is getting straight A's and truly, all because she wants it. We don't have to push her at all.
Kami is doing great with her Softball. Her team is working hard, and trying to stay up towards the top of the pack. She and her dad have also been to visit our horse but only once in the past few weeks because of how busy we are. We hope that Kami will decide that her horse and riding is a priority over softball. Not because we don't love to watch her play, but because she wants both so much, yet doesn't have the time for both. Neither do we! Kami is also a GREAT student with straight A's. Her teacher tells us that she likes to help other kids in the class if they are having a hard time with an assignment. She has a tender little streak in her and shows kindness easily. I sure love that about her!
Emiboo is doing great in Kindergarten. She is on a D reading level, which is first grade reading! Woo Hoo Emiboo!! It was funny because one day she and I were home and she wanted to read a book to me. I looked at it thinking she wasn't really going to read it to me. It had some pretty big words in it. Well, was I ever suprised. She read it! Emi wants to play soccer like her big sis so next fall we will be signing her up. I have to admit she is my challenge right now. The whiney little voice grates on my nerves too easily it seems. And if we don't give her an answer she likes, she cries and throws a fit worse than her 2 year old sister. AYE CARUMBA!
Abby is growing so fast! 2 and a half is sure something else. Temper tantrums, loves and kisses, lots of Dora the Explorer and sippy cups. Funny little girl came in last night to our room, actually it was 3am, saying there were dinasaurs in our back yard. We had to explain that there weren't any dinasaurs in the back yard and then of course, picked her up and put her in our bed so we could all go back to sleep. I was awake at 5:30am because she wouldn't stop kicking me.

I have noticed that being a mother does not seem to get easier with each child. They throw something new at me, something that I thought I had a handle on before. The one thing all of my children have in common. They are SO STUBBORN! Can't imagine where they get that from?

So that is the latest with our family.

Here are some pictures that were taken in St. George for my cousin Kilie's wedding. We had a blast with family! I hope we get together like that again soon!!!!!!

Chooch, Jules and their cute family!

My Grandpa Asay, taking a break under a tree on the temple grounds. It was nice and warm that day!

These pictures are a bit out of context, but poor littel sasser was sad to see her sister moving on in her life.
