10 years ago: I was 24 years old, ok, almost 25 and was still pretty much a newlywed with a 9 month old baby girl. I worked at Burgoyne Computers in the accounting department, a job that I really did not love but it gave me some good stories to tell. We lived in the Lemans apartments on 4500 South and 9th East and loved our ward there. Paul was serving in the YM presidency and I was serving in the YW presidency. Paul was working at Burgoyne Computers as an internet technician and his hours were like 3pm - 11pm every night. I worked from 8 - 5pm so we got to see each other during work hours and on the weekends. Paul's mom was watching Hailey for us. We were pretty poor but it seemed like life was so much simpler then than it is now.
Things to do on my list tomorrow:Get kids off to school. I am a part of a card making group and I am in charge of teaching the workshop on Wednesday night so I have to get my creative juices flowing and make up a cute card and get all the supplies together for the 8 other ladies in the group to make a set of 6 each. I have my nephew and niece coming over again since I went in for surgery. I watch them everyday for my sister in law. I volunteered to do it, free of charge, and really they are darling kids. It is not easy though, have 4 kids 5 and under running around the house. It gets easier once Hailey and Kami get home from school.
Get Hailey and Kami off to activity days.
Get dinner ready. Somewhere in there, I need to get myself ready. Then go to Young Women's. Not such an exciting life but I feel blessed anyway.
Snacks I enjoy: popcorn, chocolate and anything salty, or crunchy
What would I do if I was suddenly made a billionaire: Pay off my house, pay off my moms and sisters houses, buy a houseboat and go to Lake Powell several times every summer with family and friends of course. Buy another boat to water ski and boat. I love love love to just ride in a boat with the wind in my hair, (or whats left of it now I guess) and see beautiful places. I would set up savings accounts for the kids for college, missions, weddings etc. Then I would add on to my house so when our kids have kids we have space for everyone to visit. (I dont want a new house because it costs too much) Yes, even as a billionaire I guess you could call me a cheap skate.
3 of my bad habits: biting my nails, short temper, negative self talk
5 places I have lived:Utah my whole life except for 18 months in Ohio. In Utah I have lived in Granger, Sandy, Holliday, Sugarhouse, Riverton
Jobs that I have had: at 14 I mowed lawns one summer, and each summer until I was 16. At 16 I answered phones at Mansell and Associates after hours. At 17 I worked at a movie theater first doing concessions and then selling tickets. (that job was a blast!) I went a way to Ricks college and when I came home for the summer I worked at the theater again until my best friends dad offered me a job at his CPA firm. There I did a lot of filing and phones, and errands and some accounting work. I left on my mission, then came home and worked for Burgoyne Computers until I stopped working when Kami was 9 months old. I did still work a couple of Saturdays a month until about 4 years ago. Now I dont work at all. HA, just kidding, being a mom is way harder than any job I've ever had.
Things most people dont know about me: I love music, I wish I could play the piano because I love piano music. But, I love all kinds of music. I love to boogie to music and sing, dance and make a total fool of myself with my kids. Music makes me very happy.
Once upon a time I never wanted kids, or to get married because I was afraid.
I have a fear of heights, mostly when we are driving up a winding road in the mountains with sheer drop offs. I sort of hug the other side of the car when the cliff is on my side.
I dont have a belly button...ok so my family knows but its not something I advertise, until now.....
I love to watch college basketball on TV. March Madness BABY!
I also love the playoffs and world series in Baseball.
I love watching any kind of sport if its in the playoffs or finals. But, I do have a bit of dislike for the NBA because I think that a majority of them are a bunch of overpaid whiners.
I love fast and testimony meetings.
I love a new pair of shoes or a new outfit. I LOVE TO SHOP.
I love to watch my kids laugh and sing primary songs and show love to each other.
I get really down on myself very easily and care too much what others think.
I have anxiety.
I love it when its snowing or raining and I can be in my house with my family and watch a movie.
That is probably more than anyone wanted to know but hey, you asked!
